Scholastic Clay Target Program

Who:  Students from 6th thru 12th grades
When:  March 17 through May 26, 2024.  Coached sessions on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Where:  Wausau Skeet and Trap Club, 153200 County Highway WW, Wausau
Program Cost:  $200 per student + sales of ten $10 raffle tickets (or pay additional $50)

How Do I Get Started?:  Attend the orientation/registration meeting anytime from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday February 27, 2024 at the Wausau Skeet & Trap Club.  Feel free to call Andy Woodward, Head Coach, at 715-574-2042 or Tim Kuski, Assistant Coach, at 715-571-4551 for additional information.

What comes with participation in this years SCTP program at Wausau Skeet and Trap Club?

1. Shells and targets for 18 rounds of trap
2.  State Shoot in Rome, WI (shells and fees/targets) and Conference Shootout in Wausau (shells and fees/targets)
3.  Safety equipment – eye and ear protection
4.  Vests/shell pouches
5.  Guns (feel free to bring your own 12 or 20 gauge)
6.  Complimentary Annual Family Membership to WSTC
7.  Registration with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP)

What is the SCTP?

The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is a coed youth development program where adult coaches and volunteers model sportsmanship, responsibility and team work while using shooting sports programs to teach these and other positive life skills to SCTP athletes.

-Our spring program is open to 6th through 12th grade students in Wausau area schools.

-Offers a “level playing field” for gender participation

-Emphasis on SAFETY, FUN and TEAMWORK

Hunter Safety is not a pre-requisite to shoot at our club.  SCTP students will be taught safe gun handling techniques.
